Last updated: 2026. These terms apply to every purchase made through this site, operated by Vietnam Firsthand Press, Malta.
What you are buying
Every title sold here is a digital book in PDF form. Nothing physical is shipped. The price shown at checkout is the price you pay; any sales tax or VAT due in your country is calculated and displayed before you confirm.
Delivery
After payment, a download link is emailed to the address you gave at checkout, normally within a few minutes. The link stays valid so you can save the file again. If nothing arrives within ten minutes, check your spam folder and then write to ebookhelp.support@gmail.com and the files will be sent by hand.
What you may do with the files
Your purchase is a personal licence, not a transfer of ownership. Read the book on any device you own, keep backups, and print a copy for yourself or for the veteran who will write in the journal.
- You may not resell, rent, or redistribute the files, in whole or in part.
- You may not upload them to a file-sharing site, a public drive, or a group library.
- You may not use the text to train a machine learning model, or republish it as your own work.
- Short quotations for a review, a class, or a family history are fine, with the title credited.
Copyright in the text, design, and cover artwork stays with Vietnam Firsthand Press.
Buying as a gift
You may buy a journal for someone else and pass the file or a printed copy to them. That is the intended use. The licence stays with the purchase, and the same restrictions apply.
Refunds and the right of withdrawal
Because the files are delivered immediately, the standard EU 14-day right of withdrawal is affected. The full explanation, including how a refund is handled when a file will not open, is on the refunds page, which forms part of these terms.
By accepting these terms at checkout you confirm: I ask for my download to begin immediately, and I accept that once it begins I lose my 14-day right of withdrawal for this digital content.
About the content
The histories are researched narrative non-fiction, built from documented sources, and each chapter closes with the sources it was built from. No interviews were conducted for them and no testimony is invented. Historical accounts of this war differ, and where they do, the books say so rather than picking a version silently. The journals are keepsakes for recording family memory. Nothing sold here is medical, psychological, legal, or benefits advice, and it should not be used in place of professional help.
AI disclosure
AI tools were used to assist in the creation of our products and website. The substance of the histories comes from the documented archival sources named in each book, and the sources for each chapter are listed at the end of it, with their dates, and again in the bibliography. The photographs inside the books are genuine archival records, official United States government works reproduced with their archive numbers; the cover artwork is AI-generated and depicts no real person, unit, place or event.
Who you are buying from
Vietnam Firsthand Press is an independent publisher, operated from Malta. Payments are processed by Stripe, which acts as the merchant of record for your purchase, meaning Stripe is the seller completing the transaction and handling payment processing and any applicable VAT or sales tax. Support for all orders is provided by us at ebookhelp.support@gmail.com.
Availability and pricing
Prices and titles may change. A change never affects an order that has already been paid for. Occasional downtime for maintenance or a hosting fault is possible; if it stops you collecting a file you have paid for, write in and it will be sent directly.
Liability
These books are sold as they are. To the extent the law allows, liability for any claim connected to a purchase is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing in these terms removes rights your consumer law gives you, and if a clause here conflicts with those rights, your rights win.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the country where Vietnam Firsthand Press is established, as stated at Malta. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer law of your own country of residence.
